Every Saturday, from 10 in the morning until 8 in the evening, many artisans and merchants, come together in Las Dalias for a market fills the gardens with colours and exotic smells.
Since its creation, on Valentine’s Day in 1985, the Las Dalias market has grown in one of the most beautiful areas on the island with the least buildings in its surroundings. The original handful of stallss has increased to about two hundred and it is estimated that during the month of August, approximately 20.000 visitors flock to the market.
Apart from the chance to buy clothes, jewellery, crafts, musical instruments, CD’s, furnishings, accessories, paintings, books, hammocks, handmade shoes, incense, antiques, etc., there is a possibility of getting a massage, having an angel card reading or even your palm read.. Then there’s the “World Market”, and inside the hall the stall named “Namasté” with a theme centred around objects brought from India… There is also a restaurant of the native spirit, a tapas bar, various cocktail bars, a natural juices stand, a fast food stand, a slushy drinks stand and a Moorish tent serving tea.
In the afternoon, it is time to socialise in the “Soul Bar”, where DJ’s from Pacha play their music until the market closes.
